Just in case someone is reading this, "Negro Tormenta " is not the proper form. "Tormenta Negra" would be correct in Spanish.

@Nayn Even "Negra Tormenta" would be acceptable!! But not this!! My eyes are bleeding!!
Now in all seriousness, I understand Japanese do not have gender attach to it's adjectives, so is this a translator blunder?
Or the Japanese author just looked separately for "black" and "storm" in Spanish and plated them there?
Thanks for the chapter.

@Nayn @HuevoPodrido I dunno what y'all are expecting. Japanese authors for stuff like novels and manga are pretty terrible at English, and they have that for classes in most of their schools during compulsory education. Toss in some fan translators who might only be in the process of learning Japanese in the first place, may have zero background in any other languages, and all the Spanish and German that gets used in series like this to help diversify the countries of some made up world... Well, I can't particularly fault the translators. It's kind of a clusterfuck and they're doing this as a hobby at best, usually.

@Glomoro I did not expect anything, yet felt disappointed. I'm actually not blaming anyone, author could have checked Spanish properly, and translators could have gone an extra mile, but as a free reader I'm definitely not shameless enough to blame them. But I definitely want to defend my language and also, out of curiosity, I would love to know the source of that translation. It takes a bit of effort to do it that bad with the tools we have nowadays.
So worry not, author and translators have my utmost respect.

@HuevoPodrigo I didn't intend to make that sound so much like you guys were blaming anyone, really. Perhaps I came off slightly confrontational without meaning to. Just meant to express what my experience has been with observing that whole deal over the years being a reader. Like, a LOT of mangakas I've read stuff by are the Japanese version of all those people getting kanji tattoos, basically. They don't actually know the language but find it cool so try to use it and then drop the ball.

As for how this happened here honestly, it could've been as simple as a typo sort of situation at the translation end, I suppose. I remember finding a spelling error in an English text book when I was in school. I remember it as a specific point in time where my little kid brain suddenly became aware that even adults just mess up sometimes. I mean, here was a book that exists for the sole purpose of telling you the correct ways to spell words and write sentences, with a spelling and/or grammar error right there. It was probably put through a ton of editing sessions and proof reading, but there it was nonetheless. An error in the book about not making them.

@Glomoro
I wasn't blaming or faulting anyone so much as offering a correct version; I know people (and authors) get things wrong sometimes, and some appreciate corrections.

@Glomoro I see, I agree. I mean, I know mangakas and/or novel writers are kinda pressed by time, but I just find it hard to imagine people don't know about google traductor *shrug*. I think it sounds so off to me mainly because it is just one letter or one permutation away from being correct. . It also may not be an error but an intentional alteration, idk. Oh well, imagination powers, I summon you. Form now on you'll read "Negra Tormenta".
Btw, I just came here because I was re reading the series, checked comments and saw yours. You misspelled my name so I didn't get any notification 8 months ago 😅

@HuevoPodrido Yeah, I usually copy paste names on here. I dunno why I typed one back then. Sometimes even when I do copy them directly they don't seem to show up as links, so I'm not sure if they're actually giving someone a notification at that point. I wonder if anyone's suggested a system that let's us click "reply" on comments, maybe idiot proof the process a bit.

Negro Tormenta is kinda acceptable tbh...
well I'm just a quarter spanish and spent a lot of his life around people who spoke chavocano (spanish creole).

Though Negra Tormenta, else, Negra de la Tormenta would've been better. Though if the author just slapping up Yahoo Translate on his writing, guess we could've expected this to happen.

yeah Negra de la Tormenta would've been cooler to hear... kek

tbh Teresa is my favorite. not just because she is a lesbian in love with a transgender princess, but also because she seems to be one of the few female characters with a healthy respect for herself (I hate harems)
