Why? He clearly said he doesn't want to, he knows the king sucks and is trying to avoid him. So its not like he is being stupid, forgiving or anything, he has been being watched and restricted, so this is a problem he has to eventually addressed. So the focus will be escaping from the king and avoid being exploited. Why is that such a deal breaker, its not like its characters being dumb, or a out of nowhere plot line.
