Bro won't have peace even in his hometown :02:
Man that whole alternative conversation playing in Lili's head is the one you always regret not having later on, luckly she had Yukari help wtih the master counseling, just say it!

[edit] And honestly this asspull meeting from Sasuga Kei kinda threw me off, I wanted to see how the both of them would deal with it after both had some good talk with Yukari

Yeah ofc, they'll destroy the MC's relatioship with his classmate like this, classic Sasuga Kei

Why??? If you didnt want that girl involved then why even do the hotel chapter

Considering how the last chapter played out, and knowing that something could have happened between Hiromi and Nonaka, things are bound to get messy now that Lily and the rest of the girls are in Wakayama. It's going to be interesting to see how Hiromi navigates all of this.

Honestly, I’m hoping Nonaka makes a move. I’ve said this before and still stand by it, I’m not really a fan of Lili getting back with Hiromi. She was the one who ended things. So even if she wants to rekindle their relationship, the real question is, did she actually learn from her mistakes? Is she ready to commit this time, or is she just going to walk away again when things get tough?

If it’s the latter, I’d rather see Hiromi end up with Nonaka. Even if their relationship is only temporary, it could still hold meaning and help him grow as a character during his time in Wakayama. But now that the girls have shown up, and considering he’s eventually heading back to Tokyo, I feel like this might be the story’s way of wrapping up this arc and putting things back on track. Maybe it’s about showing Hiromi that he belongs back home. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s exactly where this is all heading.
I knew Hiromi would not end up with Nonaka, even for a little bit. I had hoped maybe that could happen, but his time in his hometown was likely going to be limited to the point his grandma was out of the hospital and recovered enough that she didn't need constant help around the house - and the moment this shitshow of a chapter ending happened, any possibility of them dating even temporarily has been scuttled right there in the shipyard.

Nonaka can try to make a move, but I will make the outrageous claim that Lili will cry foul and get weirdly possessive in an infuriatingly passive way, or (somehow worse than that) just get all sulky which will compel Hiromi to back off and put a stop to it to try and keep the peace knowing he'll eventually have to go back to Tokyo because.......I honestly don't know why he can't just stay here and inherit his grandma's place and work at his old friend's inn, but it's Sasuga so of course a simple happy ending is taboo.

I will go on record though and admit that I'm being super petty about it, but I need Lili to see him getting along really well with both Nonaka and with Hime. Like, have Hime be her usually flirty self with him but in her innocent "not actually coming onto you" fashion that she has about her. Only because I want to see how she reacts. If she just sees it and gets a little sad at the fact she ended things between them but understands that it's just all part of life, then that's fine and I'll hold her in a bit higher regard.

If she actually gets possessive or objects and tries to either intervene or confront Hiromi later, then I hope she ends up getting food poisoning for like two weeks straight, or something, as karmic punishment.

This chapter feels like needless stirring the pot though and just denying Hiromi a single space to call his own, and I'm very much irrationally annoyed about it. But for the sake of drama and the petty hope that feelings get hurt, I will put up with it.

idk what Lili's thinking anymore... She broke up with the MC, but she still loves?/miss him.
That part is absolutely realistic, btw. Pretty common, too.
Now, trying to restart things - that's a dick move more often than not.

It's canon in my heart.

That was so stupid, at least in Lili's case she was there for the sole purpose to see him

But wtf was that weird ass pull up from everyone else?? So they all JUST so happen to go there coincidentally?? Bullshit 🤦🏾‍♂️
It’s not a coincidence — the chapter frames it through Lili’s perspective but they are all feeling his absence (apart from pole dancer lady who went to go and see him and so subconsciously put the idea in their heads). So they are all intentionally using the chance to go and see him while they were doing whatever else they were supposed to be doing.

I need to go back and reread - does he live really close to Osaka, and/or in Osaka and I just assumed he was from some out of the way town/village? If it's the former, then I can absolutely see them just detouring to see him while actually doing the things they said they were doing.

I was just under the impression they all made up excuses (read: lied) about having to leave the Sharehouse, but were intending to just come to Hiromi's hometown instead. Because I thought he lived in a relatively remote space (which, again, I easily could have just misremembered from an earlier chapter), I thought the chances of all four (well, three) of them having separate business that just so happened to land them in the same small town as Hiromi was not-actually-a-coincidence.

Unless they actually do have business elsewhere, but still detoured out of their way to see him here anyway, in which case fine, but I still don't like it because it's still them encroaching unannounced and that's not super fair when he partly came out to hopefully clear his head away from the sharehouse. But that's also a "I wouldn't write it this way" thing and I recognize that.

Male leads in Sasuga's works are literally just plot devices to stir shit up. They are often borderline retarded and rarely have any agency. This chapter was so painfully Sasuga coded that i might have rolled my eyes too far back of my skull. A whole ass chapter dedicated to Lili of all people? Give me a fucking break.

I’m so glad that it’s not just Lilli that’s there. She sucks ass and I don’t want them to get back together. She’s just going to hurt him again and again because she hasn’t learned anything. I guess at least with all of these girls there they’ll interfere with each other because of the house rule against dating So they’ll keep each other in check.

That said, it’s annoying that any of these women showed up right when Hiromi is on the verge of actually moving on and starting a new relationship. The cock-block squad strikes again….

We know Lilli’s motive, but did all 4 of them show up with romantic feelings? I wonder if we’ll get perspective from the others… I hope so. At this point I at least want someone to step up as a proper contender, otherwise it’s just Lilli going for Hiromi and nobody wants her to win. The only girl who’s worse is his ex girlfriend.

Also it’s super overdue for the rest of the house to find out that Hiromi and Lilli dated (although I am sure at least Yukari suspects it already). Maybe this is the time for that to finally be revealed? I’d like that bomb to drop because then he would not be allowed to go back to the share house, but it would be too convenient I think.

Thanks for the tl!
This chapter is the essence of sasuga kei's bullshit drama and I'm as excited as a fly discovering fresh manure. I wonder how many of the girls actually had a trip planned beforehand and are meeting hiromi on the way... The idol girl is safe in my eyes, since her friends are here too, but the other two? Very debatable...
Let's be real though, if you're still reading this you surely enjoy the dumpster fire that this series is slowly becoming, if not, good luck soldier.

worst part (for me) I just was glad that this arc so far has been great, like even the hotel part was well done to blueball the MC without the ramifications of what could have happened, how the MC is questioning himself and how we got Yukari's POV from her past relationship...
aaaand of course Sasuga will not let the arc end amicably, it just has to add more dumb drama to go back to tokyo in a really dumb way.

What a thing. As soon as Hiromi's travel arc began, I myself predicted in the comments that the standard cliché in “boarding house” type manga is for the harem to go on a “rescue mission” to bring the MC back. But in the following chapters, everything seemed to suggest that this time would be different, and I was actually enjoying that. In the previous chapter, with Lili’s phone call, it seemed like a big drama was about to unfold.

At the start of this chapter, with all the girls saying they had to travel and that Lili would be staying home alone, I was expecting Hiromi to show up there and the two of them to be alone at the house (although, thinking about it, that wouldn’t make much sense). But then Lili decided to travel to see Hiromi, and I figured she’d catch him being all close with his childhood friend or something like that.

But in the end, it turned into the standard cliché of the harem going to “rescue” the MC… I have to admit, I found it pretty disappointing. I was really enjoying the drama. And this whole scenario of the entire harem going to rescue the MC doesn’t really fit the serious tone the story had been building up until now. It works well in romcoms. But in a drama, it just feels kind of silly.
