If you read it blind sure there are no 'tropes' here, all his works literally follow the same formula to the point that most people here knows he's gonna force some sort of random train crash just to increase the length of the series and the childhood friend character is destined to get hurt because he still lives in the 2000s where they can never have a good ending.

I don't know about you but I'm here to see that trainwreck. I can't expect any manga to give me a good/satisfying ending, but Sasuga Kei has been pretty good in the past about giving me something interesting to read getting there.

Also, Nonoka deserves better than this cardboard so sooner the inevitable happen the better. I just want to watch the MC suffer.

but what does it have to do with it not being 'full of tropes' That just feels like it doesnt have the tropes you dont like so you want to pretend like its something unique

we've already seen this from this very author many times and this type of drama is not that uncommon either. Literally standard 'misunderstanding' drama about to unfold (after it happened with Lili already) or she'll make it even more scummy and have the MC somehow forget he's in a relationship.

Another great chapter! It's funny how a romantic drama makes me more tense than many action stories. Now, how will the author resolve this situation? I hope it won't be through the childhood friend feeling jealous of the other girls, because that would basically mean the MC is cheating on her. I can't see any solution that would please me. The best solution would be for the MC to leave the boarding house, but at the same time, that still wouldn't be a satisfying ending, since all the readers believe he will choose one of the five girls from the boarding house. So him simply leaving the boarding house and marrying Nonoka feels like a rather "cold" ending, I guess.

Lol, yep - it's when you think that the character is going to do what someone like a real person would, which is see when their lease is up and move in with their girlfriend, not with Sasuga-sensei. This is a development to turn the drama up to 11, doing old deeds with new characters. Glorious!

This honestly was... far more peaceful than I expected? No awkwardness or anything, though that may have been the calm before the storm. His time at home ended without all too much drama (glad Mine didn't join the race) - there probably is not a reason for him to return home again.

Gut feeling is that Nonoka will realize his relationship with his housemates are... not exactly just housemates.

We also have the case where Tsubasa having a thing with her coworker, and Lily's classmate may have made advances, curious how those will be handled.
