WTF happened to the last chapters — we had an out of the blue tragedy arc complete with a time leap; now we got a rewind, all with neither explanation nor tie-in whatsoever. It makes no sense. If the last two chapter never existed, nothing would change with the story.

Think of them running in parallel to the main story until both story lines reconnect in future chapters, I think that will be the moment when we will get the whole mystery about Nozomu solved.

Seriously, (opinion incoming, my apologies) his time with his cousin is the strongest thing holding my attention with this series, because ever since his father dropped that BS bombshell, I feel it has soured every chapter of the series since. I understand that the series needed a way to continue beyond the summer, but this... his entire situation sucks, with only one saving grace. Oh well, series is still good and fun, but having that knowledge sitting there will always put a strain on it, in my opinion.

It's really strange. What could possibly lead to the situation where has to transfer to hicktown bumfuck so suddenly that not even his old friends know? Why can't he live with his parents and just go to a school in a different district? I mean, I guess it's for the narrative convenience of moving in with his cousin, but there would be much easier, less weird ways to accomplish that. It can't really be something dramatic at school, otherwise his classmates would probably at least have heard some rumors and not be entirely in the dark. Wonder if it will ever become relevant.

I'm guessing he ended up in a fight trying to protect someone, but in the end it was a misunderstanding and all he did was cause unnecessary trouble.

I'm not a fan of incest, so I'm kinda just reading this out of morbid curiosity like it's a car crash. I won't lie, if it weren't incest it'd be really wholesome. That said, I can't help but notice a theme of the cousin and the constant focusing of panels on her feet. Who made this??? The producer who got fired from Nickelodeon???

You could have checked out the artist pixvi before they deleted/made a new one and it was clear as day about their foot fetish as well as NSFW stories of the two main characters

Artist/writers will always try to squeeze in their fetish and no one really has an issues. Again we get boob and ass shots all the time in manga you kinda learn to just ignore it or embrace it.

What I want to know is, if what happened is so sad/bad/weird/whatever to cause his friends to stop talking to him, wont this put a huge dent in his relationship with the feet girl?

Alternatively its something that could hurt his friends/stuff - so the scare of them stopping talking with him isn't cause they would be for example disgusted with him, but cause they would rather pretend they aren't friends to not get hit with consequences of what ever happened.

Its kinda funny, cause story as is is kinda boring - for a romance or SoL manga there isn't anything really keeping me in, but this mystery of what the freak happened to cause this whole manga to start by forcing him to move to bum fuck nowhere and live alone - while his parents and Idol (?) sister continue their lives like nothing happened - is just hard to pass cause of my inner curiosity.

A little comment, (trusting the translation is correct about this) Nozomu is not surprised his friends are still talking to him, is that they are talking like always to him, so he thinks that what happened is not as bad for them to cut him from their circle, but bad enough for them to (maybe) change the way they see/treat him.
