I mean, we get to see the POV of Kiyoshi, but not the Sumi's POV. she is a high schooler who just turned 18, she is pretty naive and all, and the fact that we don't get her point of view makes it harder to get her. I hope she knows what she is doing and that she is also in love. I want them to be happy so I hope this is developed in future chaps.
I know in Japan, sadly women sometimes just choose to become a housewife and don't even get to work or after getting married they leave work and become housewife, that is why she didn't put plans career down. I don't mind the age gap, just 18 is just pretty soon. At 18 I had no clear idea wtf to do, so this big of a decision...

I’m actually pretty happy this flew past to the graduation and didn’t have any drama. Doesn’t make for the most realistic plot, but its nice for the author to skip to what they actually want to write a story about (and honestly I’ve read the “underaged relationship but there’s love” drama stories so many times this is just refreshing”)

@gum_rummy I'm unsure but since this is skipping a lot I believe it was that she was asked to marry him, she was still a student so she told him to wait until she graduated to ask her, basically postponing making a decision of rejecting him or accepting him...which is quite understandable as its really hard to reject someone. Then over the course of a period of time they kept meeting at the shop, he walked her home too, and she eventually fell in love with him.

Maybe it's not as instant as you're feeling it to be, maybe they're just skipping a lot of the inbetweens and cutting to the point.
