Patty's size has always been a bit inconsistent (being bigger than Shirou's head vs barely half the size, etc), but damn she was huge this chapter. Wonder how much that's intentional from her being more powerful, or just the artist forgetting how big she is.

Well some of this could be explained with perspective. The real size should be when she was touching his head but the others could be an illusion of depth perception.

edit: Although the real reason is probably the difficulty of the illustrator. Too big to be drawn as a spec with expressive bubbles. Too small to be drawn with detailed expressions and clothing. (For reference her actual size is probably the size of the mage's hand in the third panel.)

It wouldn't be perspective anyway, in the bottomleft she's at the same distance as the mage (from their face directions talking to each other), in the bottomright she's behind MC/other guy (so she should be even smaller, if anything).

In the top left she could be between the MC and the other human, not besides the MC.
In the bottom left the fairy could be closer and the mage further away with them talking diagonally rather than face to face.
In the bottom right the fairy is closer to the viewer and the 2 ppl are behind her.

There are ways to explain the size differences while looking purely at depth perception, but once you factor in the line of sight it becomes weird. You can yell at someone w/o facing them, but contextually that is probably no the case. I know these are a bit of a stretch, but they are not impossible.

But I don't disagree with you, and she probably is constantly changing to match the scene. It is probably the illustrator trying to make the fairy expressive AND detailed w/o having to use a magnifying glass.
