Itsudemo Jitaku ni Kaereru Ore wa, Isekai de Gyoushounin wo Hajimemashita - Ch. 69

The immortal dragon could be an entity that reincarnates by parthenogenesis before dying. So the egg is actually both mother and daughter.

[Doomer]

well shit, now what? will the baby become OP and insta kill the demon?

[YamiryuuZero]

Oh... CRAP!!!

[Quesocucuy]

i was thinking that the "demon" lady was gonna turn out to be the mother. but I just remembered her mentioning having a little sister. so she could still be either the older sister to the new born or maybe even the older sister of the mother eternal dragon

If anyone wants spoilers, well basically the Dragon Mommy gets revived (don't remember the method used), and the Demon Lady gets binded to MC as a servant or something. Aka., both Dragon Mommy & Demon Lady become recurring characters.

From what I remember reading a few pages of the LN, the Immortal Dragon species is basically similar to Pheonix, aka., they can revive from their corpse (like Pheonix can revive from it's ashes after it's death), though unlike Pheonix, Immortal Dragon depend on a specific method for their revival.

Does the mayor get any future screentime at all?

Does the mayor get any future screentime at all?

Seems to be basically the same as what had been until now, from the little bits i read, aka., comes for minor plots around her and then she goes in the background, and repeat.

immortal does not mean invincible...
i mean, with strange aeons even death may die...

I blame a combination of Chinese Wuxia works and vampire fiction for this, that throw around the term immortal like dollar bills at a cheap strip club.

Immortal literally means the opposite of mortal, mortality signifies one's inevitable death. Hence adding the preposition "Im" makes it the lack of death. Unfortunately the word has long since been water down, but an immortal is literally invincible and ageless.

Someone who cannot die of old age, but can die from other means is Ageless. Typical vampire.

Someone who cannot die from anything other than aging is Invincible. Closest example I can think of something like the Hulk.

Someone who is immortal is both. Its literally the definition of the word. Yog-soth/Azatoth is an example. Closest anime example I can think of is the little mini guy in Dragonball-verse with the blue and purple face.

For the record Immortals in most Wuxia, are typically none of these. Ive read works where they barely live longer than a regular person, and they are almost never depicted as invincible. I suspect the Chinese use some different word like taoist/sennin that just gets mistranslated into immortal and people have since run with it.

For the record another common set of words that get butchered in Media are the Omni-words, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent. These literally mean all knowing, all existing, and all powerful. So no unless your character is literally the Level 0 god of your verse, you are likely not any of these terms.

But have to agree with the others on here, I don't mind the sisters as much, but this arc with the demon lady has felt very slow. I don't mind her as a character, but this should have wrapped a chapter or two ago.

wasn't this a slow life series? what the fuck happened?

same thing that happens to most slow life or crafting manga.

I've lost count of the amount of manga that spend 30 chapters sticking to their initial premise and keeping the story coherent, then the author rips 5 lines of coke and goes barreling off the plot cliff into some spastic direction while the initial premise turns into something that shows up in the background once every 3rd chapter.

[Craeonkie]

I'm guessing the daughter is going to revive him? Surely he won't stay dead? I picked a terrible time to pick this up...

[HaremIsIdealButNotPragmatic]

I need more chapters uoghhh!!!

[Kaitensatsuma]

Completely off topic, but if she's like a Chimera demon and can change form as needed, why she still got them tig ol biddies?
I'm not complaining, I'm just curious.
