Plot twist, this entire demon seeking the dragon egg/hatchling arc was a set up by grandma to drive home the importance that the MC should learn at least a modicum of offensive and defensive magic...also for some reason the sisters were a hallucination. I know I'm wrong but I can hope right?

this is the fate most of these types of manga have.
usually after an arc or 2 they either shove the main premise into occasional background dressing, or they drop it entirely.
dude wants to be an isekai merchant? demons and death and fighting and shit.
dude creates a restaurant after getting cast out from an adventurer party? political intrigue and nationwide schemes and criminal organisations and shit.
dude crafts stuff and does farming? guess what it's fuckin war and monster stampedes and explosions and kaiju and shit.

these authors all seem to get 24 chapters into whatever they're doing before snorting 3 lines of coke and going strait off the railing
