Honestly, while some may deride the protagonist. He's honestly realistic. How can you forgive someone who tormented you that long? How can you, after spending so long building this idea of revenge in your head, just let that go? You want the bully to stay the same, so you can make them have their comeuppance. That's the story.

But, he didn't get anything. He didn't get that satisfaction.

It's not fun, nor satisfying to get his revenge on her, because that's not his bully anymore. And she accepting his hatred is just another form of pity to him. He didn't get a "I got revenge on my bullies, and now my life is cool" moment, someone else did it for him, and he didn't even get to see the pleasure of seeing his bully get bullied in return. Another group of bullies got involved, left his life for years, and now his bully is remorseful, due no part of his.

He feels cheated out of his revenge, but can't bring himself to do anything about it, because neither he, nor his bully, are children anymore. The one he wants revenge on is that bully from his childhood, but that girl only exists in his memories.

Not earned, the author didn't cook with this one...
Right...i like the conclusion and all but it feels a bit too sudden, definitely need more chapter/conflict to get to this point imo. (Ik this manga has been dragged out like hell but i mean we need more important chapter for it to felt earned)

(The paneling/imagery is fire af tho)

This was a good take, he realized that the girl in front of him is different person and cannot take his revenge on her.

This is good, as he can now slowly leave his revenge mission behind (since there is no point anymore) and focus on building a better life onwards.

"If you have capacity to do good..." she was a kid back then, and kids can do very evil things that comes to haunt them later in life if they are emotionally good person. That is called maturity as you grow, one you expirianced now by apologizing for hitting her despite what she has done to you previously.

"My life is ruined..." man you are 15-16 at best, average lifetime these days is around 80. Your life has just started and best years (20's and 30') didn't even start yet. If he starts focusing on building a good life now (especially with someone caring like she is now) by the time the two of them hit 30's they will be as happy as people who never expirianced bullying.
