Cutting her off - good move. Not sure about staying friends after what she pulled but that's neither here nor there.

But what is he apologizing for on his knees? Sure, he wasn't too outspoken, but he also hasn't done anything wrong per se. She's the only one who should be profusely apologizing. She didn't even try to communicate, instead, she played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. I hate it when manga portrays this type of behavior as something even semi-acceptable.

With the other 2, he had a, more or less, understandable misunderstanding.

With his ex? It's multiple levels worse.

This is such a dumbed down version of the story……

Og story Ex was still super stuck up and she got a stalker that freaked her out a lot, she ended up getting Mc to help her.

The stalker ended up getting the ex to talk, Ex and Mc started to talk and they sorta reconciled…..

Except their relationship was effectively restarted, Mc will treat her like a classmate not a childhood friend or ex and it will be up to her to try and remake their relationship.

The MC apologized more than the girl for breaking up with her when she said she wanted to break up, meanwhile she's been total bitch mode the last few months, blocked all ways of communicating with him, tried to slap a random girl for hurting her feelings and ended up slapping the MC instead, and did some stupid "test" to get the MC to tell her he loved her by breaking his heart and telling him he was getting cheated on. And her only "apology" was "I was at fault too". She didn't say sorry once, just that she was partially responsible in the most vague sense possible, and now all is forgiven and she's allowed to join the MCs harem of women who treat him like a lesser being and switch between love bombing him and demeaning him on any given day despite his repeated explanations that he doesn't like it. This is like a reverse revenge manga, where the MCs feelings are discarded because the FMCs once stubbed their toe and that justifies them being mean to the MC for years straight meanwhile the MC just accepts it and acts like he's a monster when he's had it a million times worse than any of them.

This manga is literally just the "you'll never understand my pain" meme.

I haven't seen a manga where the winner is completely obvious and completely stacked, and one of them is the total wrong answer.

The maid cafe one is just alright. There's not more between them than an Oshi-fan relationship before; which would've been fine if that was the only option. But can't really compete in a harem manga.

This manga is both cathartic and frustrating at the same time.

I really like that the girls all suffer the consequences of taking him for granted and have to grow up and wiser to earn his trust back, but it infuriates me that the making up happens so fast!

All it takes is one moment where they are shaking up or one excuse for him to go back to getting along with them! I could forgive the first one being rushed because she was the one that least wronged him and showed to be the most dedicated to improving herself in relation to him, but the maid cafe one who went overboard with the insults when he had his heart damaged and the girlfriend who wronged him the most are forgiven way too easily!

Well, maybe not forgiven, but they get to have normal conversations and hang out with him even more than they used to now.

I just wish this story would take the time it needs for the girls to earn their places back in his life, because as it stands now, the MC looks like a wimp that will just go back to toxic relationships in a heartbeat!
