@Khansolo pretty sure it was mentioned at some point that this is the first time someone's confessed to her since middle school, so high chance - but that's all we know.

@Dabaha well, if you don't trust your partner unconditionally, I guarantee you will not experience your true love in this life.

@henman I guess that depends on your definition of true love, but lets be honest the "classical romantic" description of true love is a fairy tale

@henman I had to look it up to be quite honest, the basic Idea is that because I don't believe in "true love" I decided not to believe in it? (this isnt me being rude or insinuating anything, english is a second language to me so I'm not sure what was the underlying meaning of citing the fable.)

@Faulheit Yeah, in anime stuff smocking looks so cool.
But it's a shame that in real life it's not cool at all, that shit makes you smell like crap, makes your teeth look horrible, and cancer of course.

@Dabaha well, slightly different. The idea is if you can't attain something, then you call it somehow bad to ease your feeling of failure. Not like it's a bad thing...but surely funny.

@henman I see, maybe thats the case, but I honestly believe that "true love" is just a misunderstanding born of that initial lust we feel towards people were we cant stop thinking about that person and you want to see that person all the time. I mean, think about it, you fall in love with a person have a good time and after a year or 2 you are way more prone to not ignore small character flaws and shit... That lust just motivates you to create an idealized version of the person in your head, said version fades with time just like the lust. But maybe I'm shallow, the longest relationship I've ever been in was 3 years and I'm almost 35 so... hmmm...

So, there's this thing that authors do, whether they know it or not, when they start writing a story. The first few chapters the author makes a "promise" with its reader and that promise is "I've set an expectation for what you can expect to see in this story from here on out" meaning if your first few chapters are about a realistic school fight club type of deal you stick with that premise but if on chapter 40 you suddenly have characters go full on supernatural abilities without properly building the foundation for that transition you give your readers narrative whiplash and this is the feeling I'm getting from this story.

Chapters 1-12 have been more on the fluffy side of things and generally gave off a whimsical type of feeling and on chapter 12 we had a typical fluffy getting together chapter. Then on chapter 13 we're smacked with "oh shit he pumped and dumped" and chapter 14 it's "even though we have sex I'm insecure about my feelings."

It genuinely feels like the author went "Okay, now that I practice writing a fluffy lovestory lets try writing about more serious things" but instead of creating another story to fit that type of style (even the art-style used, specifically the panel and text placement towards the end, in chapter 14 feels like it belongs in another manga since that style is basically a staple in drama heavy mangas,) the author just shoehorns this different style into a manga that is basically the opposite.

The building blocks to transition into a more drama heavy story were there but the author never fleshed it out so now that we're transitioning into the drama heavy part of the story it's giving people narrative whiplash due to the promise being broken.

@Petnavis Bro, what story have you been reading? The first three chapters were her fucking up and being sad/anxious afterwards.

@ejohn The first 3 chapters don't carry any emotional weight. It appears to be 100% played off as laughs. There's no tension. This same energy is felt in chapter 13 - you can tell right away that the guy didn't leave her but rather was out to do an errand or something, but then you take a look at chapter 14.

The energy given off by the style is ENTIRELY different. It's more intimate and gives off a very "serious" type of vibe. It's a style I expect to read from a more serious and drama filled romance manga. That's the broken promise. I was down to read the more fluffy side of a seinen romance webcomic but miss me with this stupid heavy shit
