This story is pretty good, but the premise of him being cursed to die if someone confesses pretty much sets in stone that this will be one of those;

"Story ends when they confess" type of manga.

So unless some new twist to the curse happens, we can't really expect any real progress in the romance throughout most of the story.

Author kind of wrote themselves into a corner here.

Readers whose biggest complaints are that they "feel like the translation's a little off": check.

This, my friends, is what we here in the business call absolute fucking garbage.
Not only does this group make money off of theft (scanlation is illegal under the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, and other international copyright agreements), they don't give a shit about what they put out, because they know that readers will lap that shit up. All they care about is putting money in their pockets, without a second thought about the series they "work" on.

Worse is it's not even an original premise and all of them have the same writing issues. I'm close to dropping this series cause you just know this will basically wheel spin until axe-kun comes and then sudden 1/2 chapters of development.

Yeah seriously the author kind of screwed up with the whole mind reading and die if confessed to curse.

He knows everything already so there is no suspence in what the outcome is, and even if he is confessed to he would die which is a dumb roadblock on any serious romantic progress.

My bet is the author will as you say, string this out until the viewers get sick of it and the ratings go down.

Then when Mr.Axe comes the author will rush to deus ex machina the confession curse at the last minute.

Fine stories don't have more holes then Sonny Corleone at a tollbooth. Rom coms can be well writen, this ain't one chief also accepting poor writing just leads to more poor writing as it's seen as OK. If you wan evidence on how that goes just look at the current generation of Marvel movies.
