This is by far one of the worst axed endings I've ever read. At least with most axed series they try to throw all their ideas out like one last hail mary. This one just had a bad gag and the characters didn't even get together

If I'm not wrong, isn't that the annoucement for the physical volume (with an epilogue)? Another commenter from the previous chapter also linked that this chapter would be the last according to the author's X post. However I could be wrong though, not sure how all of this works.

i'm not sure myself, the announcement was made pretty recently so i guess we can just wait for further informations. if what you said is indeed the case, im praying for someone to get their hands on the book and scanlate them for us

No wonder it took so long for this series to finish being scanlated. That's one of the most frustrating non-endings I've seen, even among manga that got axed.

Man, it’s unfortunate that it got axed.

I was really enjoying the story, the art, and the characters—especially how they became immediately comedic after a serious scene or moment.

The ending was nothing special. I’m not sure if you can even call it an ending since it feels like it’s meant to continue into the next chapter. I’m guessing a timeskip wouldn’t be viable here as an ending.
