96 chapters tldr: Do I recommend this? Not now. Wait for the end, or find a reddit thread to spoil yourself.
Lore is pretty decent. Story's pretty shit. Would not read this weekly, wouldn't even read this daily. Would wait for it to end then binge it to get it over with.
Translations get better than whatever the fuck this first chapter is.
After reading the first 2 chapters... this world system is so god damn complicated. I'm sure it's just early chapter exposition dumping, but holy shit. He can't go and sell because he's not an explorer, but the slave can go in because she just can? Is her main job "explorer" and not "slave" or something? Clearly the world only cares about main jobs and doesn't give a shit about sub jobs according to literally everything these chapters have set. I'm so confused, man. It feels like being "jobless" giving you the "debuff" of "not selling shit" is such a weird and almost pointless plot device Though, considering "criminal" is a forced job, it's clear the system is not objective at all.
Anyways, I hope at some point in the story, these kinds of things flow good enough so I don't have to think about it anymore.
Just read chapter 3: She's a swordsman. I'm gonna stop thinking about this and just assume he's like a legally dead person.
After 5 chapters: The system's pretty fucking stupid. I've concluded it's better to just stop asking questions and just accept shit as they come.
After 23 chapters: This is the kind of manga where you have to actively read and think about the world without skimming, which is hard to do considering there is almost nothing to care about.
96 chapters: Mc's only character arc was, "all the girl's are fine with the harem route, in fact they're all straight up saying it's better, so shit, I have no choice." The pacing's pretty damn slow. Mc is still pretty fucking stupid. The donkey trio have not grown on me at all. I now have characters and plotlines I care about. The lore and very few characters are carrying this entire manga's existence, and it's hard considering it's a plan, plan, plan, type story. It's almost insane how they can fit so many pages and text in a single chapter. Even though it's a monthly to bi-monthly release, there's so much content, but that also means so much nonsense. Like mc literally meets a pretty important dwarf and makes his own sword only for both to be on the back-end for a little while, mention it again, then back burner again. Or the series of events where, in chapter 75, mc loses jobless because of a fucking random curse loophole, curse that gives you all criminal jobs, then in chapter 78 we meet a random samurai old man that just fucking died in the chapter he was introduced in, then the entire false queen thing, then the infiltration, then "ShE hAs sOmEThiNg tHaT StEaLs jObS!" Guess what happened next? Mc goes back to being fucking jobless. "Remove jobless from primary you can't get it back" my ass. The system is still pretty fucking supid. At least in fucking chapter 93 it's explained that the system's managed by the goddesses, who could've guessed, and new jobs get created while old jobs disappear all the time.
Can barely wait for new chapters. I hope my questions on the system and lore are answered, and that the background characters don't get forgotten.
