We've already been through all "heroines" (panties?) in the summary. I'm itching to know who's next.

Seemingly shallow premise, but actually well written and hilarious.
The relations are more interesting than in many serious romance stories.

simply one of the best manga of the modern era, a truly masterpiece that show us that Japanese entertainment is reaching it's second golden age.

A few possibilities to explain MC's behavior, in descending order of likelihood (Most likely to least):

-Autism Spectrum Disorder is likely given his higher intelligence, asocial tendencies and lack of empathy/understanding towards how people normally act. People on the spectrum are less likely to understand emotions, express emotions, etc. They also tend to pick up information more quickly and be able to understand information not related to people. The draw backs to this is that he doesn't seem socially anxious (though he does lack friends and is rather blunt about things) and his ability to make eye contact, though this can be excused with being high-functioning. His repetitive behaviors and specific fields of interest match this diagnosis fairly well and would explain somethings. Additionally, people on the spectrum are less likely to have sexual interests and are more secluded, which explains why he doesn't pursue relationships or have any desires outside of seeing what he wants. (Additional signs of evidence for this would include his flat expressions/monotone voice, excelling in fields of study like STEM fields, etc.) Very likely but still has some issues.

-He has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which is characterized by strong, uncontrollable urges. In his case, the strongest compulsion seems to be a sudden urge to see panties and nothing else as a habit. Strong, unwanted and intrusive sexual thoughts are not uncommon for people with OCD. Evidence in favor of this would be his favoring towards efficient systems, inability to control certain behaviors or impulses, doesn't find these behaviors pleasurable as much as relieving, excessive time or pursuits on these behaviors, etc. Evidence against this diagnosis would include his lack of aggressive behavior, misunderstanding and inability to understand people, (which I would grant you could be due to upbringing) and his intelligence, which, contrary to popular belief, is not correlated with OCD in a positive manner. He also doesn't show behaviors like repeatedly washing hands or checking multiple times to see if certain aspects are correct. Slightly less likely but still very plausible.

-He has Anti-Social Personality Disorder. Traits like being witty and charming are common for ASPD, (which includes psychopathy and sociopathy) as are guiltless, exploitative, and/or uncaring attitudes. ASPD is common in people of high success (such as here) and are characterized by seeking to fulfill desires at other's expense. They tend to not be able to understand or empathize with people and have trouble understanding the emotions of others. The reason this is the least likely is upbringing, he fact people with ASPD tend to be able to express their emotions and be expert manipulators (which he is more certainly not) and violent behavior or sudden aggression, which he has not shown. Least likely, but still a possibility.

I doubt the author had this in mind, but it's an interesting hypothesis to think about nonetheless. (Also I appreciate the irony in writing this much about a story of a shut-in who just wants to do ecchi things to people)
