It's pretty common etiquette in Japan to not call out your bosses, even if they do something scummy to you.

Most mangaka won't come out and say publicly "My story got axed! fuck my publishers!"

They tend to grit their teeth and say thank you to their bosses while holding back their tears.

Also because Kadokawa is literally always like this and if you work for them you know what you're getting into.
They are one of the most sales numbers focused publisher, at least among the big ones, and they're also the most heavy handed with editorializing to pump up those numbers.
They also never freaking announce when their manga are gonna end. I follow several of their magazines and the endings are always super sudden.

If you ever find yourself following a Kadokawa series, put it in the back of your mind that it can be canned at a moment's notice and it will be brutal and unsatisfying. Helps dampen the blow.
