I believe the translator might have meant "rendered inoperable", or equivalent, when talking about the bridge of the cruiser, not obsolete. Vacuum tube radios were rendered obsolete with the introduction of the transistor, but they could have still been used, and in fact some hobbyists like them.

@draxdeveloper I gotta agree with you there. When 75% of her dialogue is saying rude or snide things to Toiri, it kinda makes you dislike her even when the scenes where she’s not being mean to Toiri are pretty cute.
