This manga is fcking good but it's a shame that it gets axed.
However the ending is open ended and give off the feeling that even tho this story ends the characters does not. It gives the vibes that the plot is not in control of the story of the characters anymore but the characters themselves.

However the story is so open ended that it will be such a shame that it doesn't continue.

I created an account just to say skip this.

Are you someone for who WataMote made you feel bad about a loner's anguish being played for laughs? Well this is that x100 with the story being presented in a more realistic fashion instead of a joke manga. Short version: this is a story about an agoraphobic introvert who wishes he could make friends and falls in love with a flashy gyaru who pays attention to him. Except she doesn't care about him at all, she just pretends because she's bored/lonely because all her actual friends are in other classes. She constantly toys with his desire to be accepted to amuse and make her feel better about herself. The MC is never more than a charity case/plaything to her. It's made all the worse by the realistic depiction of the MC's agoraphobia that anyone who has that will be able to relate to, only for it to be thrown back into his face for laughs over the fact that he's constantly being emotionally used by someone who does not care about him at all. And then the series got canceled, so it ends with absolutely nothing being developed other than the MC is still a friendless loser used by the girl he loves to make herself feel less lonely while she chases after the school's Chad. It's not "the MC and FMC didn't end up together, boo!" the FMC is a genuinely bad person who constantly manipulates the MC into situations where he feels like dying just to distract herself from her own boredom and loneliness while patting herself on the back for "rescuing" him from his isolation but in reality making it worse.

Trash. Don't read it unless you want to feel shitty. It shouldn't have the romance or comedy tags on it, it's a drama.

I really liked this manga, I know some people have issues with it because
of the way that the Izumi gets introduced to the group & the fact that Shinohara likes someone else, but that's kind of realistic; sometimes the people you like have feelings for someone else and I think it could have been really cool to see Izumi journey through getting over his feelings and maybe getting together with Nishio towards the end.
It's a shame this manga ended prematurely; I think it had a lot of potential to deal with some of the issues of anxiety and coming out of your shell really well.

interesting series that unfortunately couldn't go the distance
i'm not certain about the manga's intentions but the tail end of v2 seems to be a glimpse of what it wants to be: a manga where the main character observes the love stories happening around him. at least, there is such a flavor to the manga, one that i find quite interesting. by the way, in this interpretation, v1 is about him being invited to be a part of the scenario, instead of an outsider.
that aside, there's also an appeal to the simple story of the main character finding his place in this class, his talents being discovered and cultivated through practice.

Just... wow. What an amazing experience, and the character growth from the mc.. I've never ever seen this before in any manga. Every step he takes, he takes on his own, with very minimal help. What an amazing mc
