I don't see why the author has to give her magic powers. All this story was supposed to be was that when freed from the shackles of an oppressive society, people can become amazing by pursuing their goals.

But what it basically say now is, "Sorry, if you don't have exceptional inherent talent, then you're not good enough to follow your dreams." Characters succeeding because of hard work and effort is inspiring, not magic power bestowed by God.

@Seventwentyseven he is older than or protagonist. The one that said he is older one year than the other person was still the brother. So the brother(the healthy one) is both older that the protagonist and than his brother
