Not surprised, I figured some of the sages would have respected the way Suiboku lived his life or at least some of the natives. I imagine when they see how Suiboku's current disciple acts they'll get humbled and flustered.

I remember that the MC's wish was for God to make him the strongest, and according to his master, he already is "the strongest"... but there seems to be so many people either at his level or stronger...
That's because of 2 reason:
1. Suiboku considers him the "strongest" because Sansui fully embodies his master's belief of what "The Strongest" is.
2. While he taught Sansui the mindset to be strong, that's pretty much all he taught. As far as I can remember, Suiboku didn't teach him any technique or skill. Any skills Sansui has, he got by watching Suiboku and swinging his sword for hundreds of years.

So it's not really a surprise that so many are on his level or above it.

He also originally wanted to be the "Strongest Swordsman", which if you think about it, doesnt really warrant teaching all of the other fancy/crazy sage art/techniques like Tectonic Manipulation and all that. Probably why Suiboku doesnt bother teaching it to Sansui.

I'm confused, or cant remember if it happened... But when did sansui's arm heal/was healed??? Last i knew he was using a prosthetic...
He wears a glove over it that looks identical to a normal hand, and he can already use it as well as his normal hand. Eventually he'll get to eat a "special ginseng fruit" that will grow it back probably(?), but for now he has the special hand that conveniently looks like a normal hand.

It all feels very cheap. And it doesn't feel like he's the "strongest swordsman" if he can only win by sacrificing his hand.

It's very much a, the author wants a cool prosthetic hand, and the author doesn’t want to draw a cool prosthetic hand.

He’s the strongest swordsman cuz everyone else that can beat him are nothing close to being a swordsman

Suiboku/Kachou are closer to being swordsgods than swordsmans

Got this feeling that when he leaves the place and goes back he would have been absent for years
