Im always baffled by the refusal of so many manga to have characters who get together and only reserve that for the very end, but this isnt even about getting together, they havent even communicated to him that they like him! And several of them havent even tried!

Maybe i should just write this manga of as not for me but im stuck in the sunk cost fallacy atp so ill stick with it.

I think the point is that they want to fight for Kotaro 'fairly' so announcing their love for him would make him more aware of whomever confessed first? Not justifying it, just that it seems to be within the line of thought for these girls.

JP Romcoms usually don't have good writing to begin with, you just gotta pick and choose which romcom slop you can put up with more. This one hasn't really bothered me a ton yet.
