I'm cool with the localization of Veight (yay for gbf reference) but
won't the context be lost once we reach the part where the Demon Lord teases Baito's name as "part-time job"?

The first version was by far better. The art style was darker and not so childish. Also the story wasn't pictured so superficial.

Yeah I think so too. Kinda like how they rebooted the dragon tamer guy who got NTR'd. Still I'm happy that the story will continue in some form at least.

anybody who read the raws ( if there are any): is this version any different from the other one story-wise? or is it basically just a redrawing ?

I think I enjoy this style a little more. The older version wasn't bad, but something about that style made it tiring for my brain to consume it.

Fur has never been so solid.
Personally, I prefer the other art. More serious atmosphere, MC was more cool and seemed to have everything under control. Now seems like another fluff and fun comedy(despite some deaths). But it's back, so I won't really complain(for now).

My dream was always to become a werewolf... so then I went to Skyrim. I finally retrieved the Hircine Ring and transformed. I was happy for a brief moment but realized it was for naught. As I observed the form, I saw it less of a wolf and more of an overgrown rat. I was disappointed, and then I took an arrow to the knee. My journeys had ended, leaving me with books I had collected to read instead. A great collection I must say, especially The Lusty Argonian Maid. Then I lived on for several more centuries, dragons were slain, kingdoms fallen and no more. I could care less for those, however, for my desire of werewolves still lingered, as well as the arrow wound to my knee. I lied on my couch, in the house I had built on the plot of land given to me by the Jarl of Falfreath Hold centuries ago. With my PC, tablet and phone, I searched, vigorously, to find any fine looking Skyrim werewolves. After centuries of searching, I had at last found what could sate my desire... R34 and Immersive Skyrim. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Anyways, I'm really digging the werewolf design in this manga. It fits the comical-like art style of the manga. Will have to read more to understand the direction of the story better though. Wait... I've already read the other version already... werewolf still looks great in both versions though.

actually I prefer the previous manga version of this series, this one lack seriousness which makes it look comedy or fluffy manga while it's not, but yeah, getting another version is better than it's not continued, even the novel translation isn't continued....

Didn't read the other version, this just seems like a case of "why is this an isekai" maybe that'll come into play later but idk seems interesting though

I personally felt like the other adaptation really suited the fantastical and political nature of the original series more. Sure there were some battles, but Veight's home field is very obviously politics.

Well, then again. This is the first chapter. There's room to change. I did prefer the other artstyle though.

It seems more in line with the WN which I found pretty bland. In fact I think it's line for line the same which again is bad because you basically only hear everything from Veight's narration. Something that was as straightforward as the dog whistles is explained painfully. The previous manga took the liberties to show not tell, and we could enjoy the better pacing and artwork. Also they're attacking in the middle of the day now?

I don't mind the new artstyle from the different artist...but what really does bother me is her thighs...like why do they have to be so puffy here, when they weren't in the previous manga version or the LN illustrations? I get that she's supposed to be wearing old-school style horse riding breeches or something, but she still looks like a pair of oversized Thanksgiving turkey drumsticks. She looked far better in the form-fitting variety.

I think I may be getting too obsessed with her fashion choice. Guess I'll just have to get used to it.
