I'm guessing the first manga was more expensive to produce. Is there a released reason why the last manga was cancelled and then restarted?

I had thought I wasn't going to see the manga going after it was dropped, glad to see it got picked up again since the story is great and fun plus the art is very good.
I'll probably get my copy on my next manga import batch.
