Ah yes, 'diplomacy', where one side has zero leverage, but showcases their caring nature by immediately trying to off themselves somehow believing this would serve as some form of exchange for the lives of other people despite the opposite side already having their life in their hands, and the other side being so impressed by this 'selfless' act that they're like "You know what? Technically we may be the aggressor, and we may have killed some people on your end, but we're so charmed by your suicidal nature that we'd like to be friends!" Who says war can't be a jolly good time where you meet new people and make new friends?
And hey, these werewolves must not be so bad after all, because look, there's one vengeful soldier that put the life of their own leader at risk by their irresponsible actions. Tut-tut, can't judge a book by its cover now.
The smug is basically oozing from this work. Also, treating war with this level of levity is downright absurd.
