yeah, basically she thought that MC could fill the hole, but it only reduce the size, then she thought Kondo would fill the part MC couldn't, but that didn't happen, when she is dealing with consequences one of the teachers kinda of explain that trying to fill it with someone else would just make her dependant on that person, and that she needs to fill it herself or something like that, I don't remember much on how the talk went, but he used a book written by a Russian author as an example of how love can bring someone to ruin.
