That's not revenge, that's just natural response.
The rest of whatever happened to Miyuki was due to her own doing (lying in her testimonies, getting caught in a love hotel, ruining her school reputation). The revenge part is carried out by Endo (taking photo evidences, tipping the police off, etc). All Eiji did was to provide his testimony and the rest was him spending his days with Ai. Even in that scenario you mentioned, it wasn't Eiji who took the initiative and approached first, it was the other way around.

the person that gave the testimony to send kondou to juvenile. is miyuki as she told the truth. sending kondou to juvenile detention. even though she set the record straight. no one forgave miyuki.

even after if kondou finish his juvenile sentence. he has nothing left. his mother doesn't want him. his dad was found to be corrupt and lost everything.

even the lawyers laugh at how kondou still believes he's still gonna be top of everything. quite a delusional dumbass.

As much as I like this manga, I hate that it only has few pages per chapter, making it pretty short and add in that it's monthly manga.

I agree 100% I couldn't wait for the manga updates and went to YouTube to see someone go over the light novels then the web novels after he finished with the LN's. Definitely a good one to check out if your impatient like me

What do you mean? Teachers not giving a shit or at least not doing anything about bullying (or even punishing the victim instead) is a common and often reported occurence all over the world to the point that it's common knowledge.
That's why Takayanagi-sensei being competent is a fantasy and unrealistic, but also refreshing. It happens so rarely in real life that you never hear about it. It's usually not a thing in manga because it's also not a thing in real life.

We - the audience - know Kondou is a piece of shit (and we know that he is irredeemable because we understand how fiction like this is structured), but the teacher is waaaay too quick to pass eternal judgment in-universe. The fact that he specifically calls out how Kondou is "still just a high schooler" (i.e. a kid) certainly doesn't make him seem reasonable for abandoning him to walk the path to hell. It's arguably his job to try to get Kondou off that path! At least don't be so smug about it!

It's just one of a million little reminders that the story is completely warped around the contradicting goals of both (A) making the main character a victim and an underdog and (B) having everyone in a position or authority or respect immediately go to bat for him. In an abstract sense, it's interesting to try to do a revenge fantasy story that skips all the "tedious" setup right to the payoff of "underdog victim gets the recognition and support he always deserved, and the bad guys receive condemnation and punishment", but in practice the structure doesn't hold up without the foundation.

I get that that probably isn't a very popular take, but it just... gnaws at me. Oh well, it's still fun to watch Miyuki crash out. At least for now. But with how clumsily the story is built, I expect something to undermine my enjoyment of that too. 😂

Agree with what you said. I'd like to think that it is part of Takayanagi's character that we don't know much about. He knew about Kondo's true behavior yet he never took any action in the past by reprimanding him, nor discussed it with his fellow teachers. So why is he so smug about it now? I believe deep down he really hated Kondo's guts and wanted to take action but Kondo's father's position, Kondo being an asset to the school, and him being only a teacher (not Kondo's homeroom teacher) made it difficult for him to meddle with Kondo's private life. He was likely waiting for an opportunity and Eiji's bullying case gave him that chance.
