about the chapter ending: well duh, a bit too late to realise that now, isn't it?

He left because he wanted to attack the enemy in an all out war but they refused to comply.
Now that they decided to go to war he thinks it's wrong to kill everyone.
I don't knew anything about making characters. But such a change of heart seems to me like a character contradiction especially when he decided to leave camp for that same reason...
Meh... What a garbage characters. Everything that could have been solved early dragged down for 100 chapters. Seems to me like author decided to strand people in a no man island but then he realised he did forget to think about the story that comes after they adapt with finding food in that island

@mobrine it's not so much the characters as it is the author not having a good design philosophy. Really feels like he put Sawada there as an after-thought, some kinda "i need a villain for the drama", and now we get this dbz style villains never die bullshit, cause he realized killing Sawada would remove that very drama

Yeah, its frustrating that the subpar conflict and drama is getting forcefully injected here when there is already stuff to be explored, these are a group full of people that attempted sudoku, exploring their personal struggles and what they gain or lose from being in the different groups has been the most interesting parts of the manga, not the shitty pseudo-caveman psychology about human life and right to kill when the antagonist is a junkiemurderrapecanibal and neetedgelordincel combo.
