@Tesla I think Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami is terrible (although I'm still hooked on it). It felt so frustrating to see the "true villain" being portrayed as smart and cunning by having the author lowering the intelligence of the "male capture targets" around her. At least this one might have a good reason for the "male capture targets" to fell in love with the "heroine".

@hikufalafel I originally hoped for a different direction Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami too.

But, it is a bit different than what you're saying. I was just hoping for a different direction of the deconstruction the otome protagonist. That the original protag as a villianess is just from being too much an an idealist. As an individual, it might great to have the type of person who thinks "why don't we just give all the money to the poor" and "let's disband the military". Idealistic, but also imply the type of person whose heart is to love and care that all the princes would fall for. But when it's not just a backdrop to an otome game, but a living, breathing world with real people, now it sets up of her to be a villain. As nice of giving to the poor and as much as we don't like spending money on the military, reality have constraints of budgets and invaders. That would have been a fun deconstruction if the author choose that path.

As far as I know reverse harem situations don't usually last that long in otome games, since the focus is more on romance than multiple sexual relationships. The protag will have say 5 guys in love with her but she chooses one and the rest just kind of pine for her forever?

On another note, that is an interesting twist. I love it. It makes the otome game "deeper"...
