Glad it's not just me in the comments. What a dumb arc, did author really think anyone would be impressed by her story? She sounds fucking insane, imagine promoting yourself by saying "well I already failed and ruined the prospects of your friends, but I wanna go again, and I won't take no for an answer"

Really boring now. The sister aspect, which was the main interesting draw, is not even believable as bait now. Appreciate the 3-chapter release but it was a skim-through for me.

It's tough with these types of stories sometimes because they all seem to get to a point where the original hook can't carry the tension/plot by itself anymore, but you see authors sometimes just whiff on plot drivers outside of it.
