My understanding was that mc's adopted dad was always talking about him taking the throne since he's actually got a claim to the throne and is stupidly powerful, but he's got so little self-confidence that he just assumed dad was talking about charlotte. as for...that route. yeah it's pretty likely since he will need a queen who's better at dealing with people than him, though heck, he is a king. he might get a harem of queens to help him rule

Hey, remember when Haruto easily killed people for similar crimes? Like the bandits at the start?
You would think that a person who actively tries to harm his family, going as far as becoming the vessel for demon god, would deserve some brutal death and yet I feel that she will just be thrown into the alt dimension like the majins.
I hope I'm wrong.

He is avoiding killing because of Char. He is a very doting and over protective older brother to her, and she managed to sneak up on him and find out secrets of his multiple times. He is also not good with people. It is less of a hassle for him to banish people to the NEET dimension than it is to kill them and cover it up.
