It would do well for me (and everyone in this thread) to not question an expert. He is a very dedicated follower of this game, yeah I think he is gonna have a fairly advanced grasp of the world of the story, abilities, weaknesses, etc.

It's okay, there are only 3 goblins in the entire forest. There are no other animals or monsters over that 1000 or whatever acre of land. No bandits hungry for a pretty and naked girl either. It's all good.

It's quite disappointing that there's no integration in the world by the MC. He treats it 100% like a game. Maybe if he didn't, he would understand that his certain death is not certain at all. He's already changing the plot, after all. It could be the smallest of things that removes the event entirely. But as long as he thinks everything will happen according to the game plot, despite the changes his making, he won't be able to see anything.

The way characters interact lacks depth and is no different than a game. Walk up to an NPC > press A to talk > change classes in the settings > assign a rookie as the new unit leader > walk away. No paperwork, no questions asked, no protests. The only one who pushes back is the dancer and she only did it because she is "mentally unstable" according to the author, lol. 10/10 writing.

Good ol' Arena farming in Fire Emblem. It's less important now, but it used to be that it was an amazing way to earn money and exp if you were willing to gamble with the units' lives.

Kind of a bummer that we don't get to see the revamped army at work though.

The dissonance between what the game reality he knows and the reality of the living beings and world that he exists in (which seem to be very real) is interesting, but I really hope it comes to a head sooner rather than later. It's disgusting how he took a professional knight woman, someone who respected him a lot, and probably someone who fought a lot for her position, and psuedo-violently gaslit her into being ok with being a dancer "for the benefit of the knights".

Which in this context, which is a real world with real people, very much sounds like she has been pulled from her position to entertain the rest of the knights. Imagine this humiliation and helplessness. She would rather have killed herself, and she said as much in last chapter, but MC managed to keep her around with some some manipulation.

I'm giving the story the benefit of the doubt that it's deliberately doing its best to craft the most disgusting, most dehumanizing thing possible
