It's one of those "speed-run gamesekai" things, but I think it takes itself far too seriously. I wouldn't call it bad, and it might be an okay read if you have time to spare, but 2 chaps in and neither the story nor the characters have given me a reason to look forward to more.
It truly is quite remarkable, how the entire story is essentially setting up a problem, and then info dumping asspulled gameplay mechanics, lore, items, etc, to resolve the problem.
Nothing much about the characters, living in the world, or any other personal connection.
This is a "What if.." nerd out, hyper-fixation on "clearing the game" sort of narrative.
I'm sure these sort of stories have an audience, but I'd be damned if I'd go through info dumps about the setting, just so the MC can "exploit" something, and "win", 10k words later.
