The spin legacy of Bug bite fetish boy and Pizza Mozzarella man lives on.

Also the JoBro curse lives on. The only thing Araki hasn't forgot in 8 parts.

@DoktorHentai for what reason is his translation worse?

@sddsdd because Kewl decided to rephrase the original vague Japanese text the way he understood it. sadly, it just came off as nonsensical if you just read 2 chapters behind. if you are talking about the Spin, both translations sound the same.

@ORAORAORAraki provide proof that Araki "forgets". also imagine being this selfish that you believe authors of your favorite series don't deserve breaks.

@FoxOnPie Hi Wa resizes artificially the images for them to appear more high quality. Dogpark uses digital raws in their original size. Dogpark isn't a replacement translation, it's just an alternative for those wishing another take on a chapter. Some of the text is better translated by Dogpark (The WoU character break, the original vagueness of the text in the page where Josuke is attacked by De Do Da from under the table, the dying Rai typeset) and some of the text is better translated by Hi Wa (Rai warning Josuke by saying "It's there! On the underside of the table!", Rai warning Josuke by saying "It moved! It's on the wall!", HD telling Josuke "You do realize you've stood up, yes?", the SFX). Both do a great job at translating the main elements of the story, in this chapter it being the Spin.

It has been stated twice earlier that Rock Humans and humans cannot reproduce together, as well as saying that Rock Humans grow rapidly every 6 years, which contradicts the information presented in Ch 99.

@BitterJames Hey there! I can clarify what we do with the images for the HWMN release. The digital raws are 1200px tall. We use an upscaler to increase that size to 1400px tall. There are a few reasons for this:

The readability of text on the page is better with a larger base image. While it's only a factor of 1.16, that makes smaller text quite a lot clearer.

Back when physical magazine scans were used, that is the size we used. This is done for consistency. We also update the magazine chapters to scans of the volumes once they are out, where we also use 1400 for consistency. The digital images are already fairly low-quality, with substantial JPEG artifacts. The upscale applies a very light de-noising to the image in order to mitigate the impact of the compression. Digital noise reduction isn't a cure-all, since it's commonly used to remove film grain from video that was part of how the video originally looked. But there wouldn't be digital noise in a printed version of the artwork, or one that was distributed at a high resolution. That is the main reason we treat the images the way we do.

So yeah, we do modify the base image to appear higher quality. I don't think the differences are mind-blowing, but I do think that they come a little bit closer to representing what the manga looks like in print than what the unprocessed digital version looks like. (And the volume versions are much much closer to than than we'd ever get with digital magazine files.) I hope this helps clarify it!
