Howler's generally been on the backfoot in these chapters so if he ends up with a stand I am scared and excited to see what it looks like when he lives up to Meryl's talk about violence as currency, for now he's just been leaving it to other (pretty cool looking) stand users lol

I hope Araki doesn't give him a stand, though there is the real risk Howler could try to buy an artifact like the arrow containing a fragment of the meteorite that gives people stand powers.

For me, its much much funnier and fitting with the story's themes having him be a cowardly biliionaire nepo baby whose only real power is the capital he holds. The contrast with previous Jojo's villains who are often hypercompetent and nearing omnipotent is refreshing.

edit: I also forgot we already saw his Stand and it works for his character. I just hope it doesn't have any offensive capabilities.

I wonder if the new stand users are actually rock humans given that Howler has never heard of them until this point.

Does anyone else find it odd that the only thing besides his money and power that Howler cares about is Lulu? Combined with the drop that Holwer says his family names in alphabetical order. Could it be that Lulu is a nickname and she is actually related to Howler? I feel it's a stretch but this is Jojo

I don't think he cares about her, just the information she has. For Howler, she's the only surviving stand user witness to what happened at the hospital which left a highly trained assassin and stand user dead, and the key to finding more info about the group that's trying to seize his assets.

Howler is looking more and more pathetic and incompetent with each chapter.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if these stand users turn out to be just completely bluffing him on being his subordinates.

Whether their actual boss is another investor like the bank or someone after the lava rock is the question.

My guess is that the people behind Howler will have him take up the Lava Rock and themselves as second in command so they can reap the benefits without the attention. This also makes it have some similarity to Part 5 where the real Boss rules in the shadow.

That aside, Howler doesn't come across as a threatening antagonist, there's probably gonna be a real main antagonist reveal later on, just like part 8.

The only thing we know of that can induce stands in this universe is the saint's corpse, which is still locked up in new york. Of course not impossible for howler to buy his way into the vault but still unlikely.

Wait I just realized this means there like wall eyes type shit happening in New York. Part 10 is going to follow JoJohnson as he has to deal with the other 8 million people with stands in New York.

i think any blessed place (aka, places where holy body parts have ended up in at any point) can get you a stand. The corpse has been around for 2000 years, after all.
Also, i really like the idea of a villain that can grow just like the hero does. If you think about it, both Jodio and Acca are bastards, so it would be pretty cool if by fighting each other they make each other grow.

You obviously don't remember the rainbows that turn people into snails. Besides, knowing this series, the worms probably eat flesh or are toxic or something and are super persistent at chasing you since they smell your fear.

In Araki's defense the rainbows that turn people into snails were kind of terrifying. The nematodes are probably going to burrow into human flesh to create their fear map at some point, knowing JoJo's.

In my opinion, Howler could be like Pesci. Totally buffoon and incompetent at first. But some major shocks later on, which i am sure he will experience many down the road, turned him into something fearsome and extremely competent.
