i think squid man was originally from another story by the authors and the authors just stuck him in here as a cameo and that's why he knows about the pain, has awareness, etc.
in the beginning he said he was a cameo when danoh found out she was an extra, he might've not been just bluffing to seem cool, but telling the truth
