Okay but if those two are actually dead, what happens with Kanoko and Sumaoka? Tatepon needs to go there quick as they're likely the only one to know the truth. Did Fukuchi just make a different expression when his associate dropped him as soon as he saw that cop? If so then that means he has somehow escaped death.
That said, even if he did survive, from where he stands, best case scenario is to be able to start from scratch since he's no longer able to keep his captives from getting away.
