eyyyyyShe gonna be lactose intolerant soon.
From what I've read, I think the mangaka's trying for a bit of both, tbh. There's enough time spent on wordless reaction shots, internalised emoting and character development that I think it does deserve the "slice of life" tag (it's straight up cutesy at times), but while she's not a full-on shonen battle superhero or anything (it is shown pretty clearly that she's not invulnerable), there's also some pretty full-on action sequences stretched out over multiple chapters. (Stretched out quite well, not just pointlessly padded, IMO, but still.) And it remains very bloody (like chapter 1, only more so), albeit not horribly graphic (no gruesome details or anything).I’m still unsure where this story will go with regards to its naive and bloodthirsty main character. Will we see a quest to the pinnacle of strength or power like a proper shounen battle manga? Or will it be more of a nuanced story about opening up to others and learning how to feel? I think it’s going towards the latter, since the action scene wasn’t too flashy. I hope for a well written pivotal supporting character.
I am leaning towards that as a possible plot twist, yes. (Haven't checked the rest of it closely enough yet to be able to say if there's anything that straight up gives it away.)OH! She went through time. I totally missed that in chapter 1.
