The first interesting chapter since the fake out ending. Woooo \o/
I honestly was this close to dropping this manga but this arc should at least be interesting. I think the author "bringing back" a supposed dead character to make our main character actually connect with the past again is a smart idea. It eases you back into what the actual plot is supposed to be and it's super intriguing. Now there would be no need for this if the series ended when it was supposed to be oh well.

My shot in the dark: Jun killed or tortured the family's mother, and held the rest of the family hostage with that threat to play a make-believe version of his family.

So this!Kaname was less being groomed to fit his sister mold, but more she was supposed to play that role to begin with. The request to Juujika was to dispatch Jun.
