Dropped this about 100 chapters ago, looks like it was pretty consistent throughout. Is that the main guy? Is the ending that he’s killing himself?

If you need every story to have a moral(which I don't think every story needs to have one, not even close), maybe "don't lose humanity while killing monsters" is a better fit.

Goddamn that's a chilling ending.

The whole "He who fights monsters" argument kind of falls apart when you realize that Uruma never became a monster at all unless you count his gross incompetence as maliciousness. The only "monstrous" thing he did in the entire series was killing the cop who was actually kind of on his side and sympathized with him but that was also when the series still had hope of being interesting (before the time skip).

Everything post time skip was 100% justified and if anything Uruma NOT just mercing all those fuckers the instant he found them is what ended up causing his friends to suffer (and die). The story also escalated far beyond anything reasonable that would let the audience come to terms with Uruma "becoming a monster" because Kyou is such a cartoonish villain with so much plot armor that Uruma is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Uruma could literally murder kittens in his spare time and he still would pale in comparison to the fucked up shit Kyou did, that's how over the top they made him. When you have a villain that outrageously and unambiguously evil there is no room for nuance.

Legitimately the only take away you can have that isn't an empty platitude that is disconnected from the actual context of the story up to this point is "don't fight monsters AT ALL" which is a pretty depressing conclusion to draw from what is ostensibly supposed to be a cathartic revenge story manga. As others have pointed out ad nauseum, there is no catharsis here because not only was the final revenge not even satisfying after all the bullshit build up but the take away the author is apparently trying to give also makes no sense and feels like a slap in the face.

i think your just overexaggertin bro like author loves to troll uruma at the end and reo and kawana are just bitter vigilanties. Uruma conisders himself evil so your opinion is kinda pointless

I skipped through this manga allot so I don't mind it being crap I didn't lose time ''reading'' it. That being said this ending is a bit sad for Uruman, being stuck with those worthless cockroaches that is depressing to think about.

I had low expectations for how the final chapter would go but Jesus fucking Christ it's even worse than I thought it could've possibly been.

Can't wait to never read anything from this author again holy shit.
