@HallowedDeep Ahh I see yeah your right, that makes a lot of sense actually, it's just in this context it pisses me off that's all. But yeah
my theory is the little shits parents bribed the cop to catch our MC, I'm definitely wrong cause his character design doesn't scream Absolute asshole like the others, but we'll have to see how the story develops I guess.

@lonelypotatoonabench Ik wut u mean. My logic is probably flawed anyways in the context of a manga
Imma be fr I think theres more to the detective than we think. Idk y, call it a hunch but i feel like it would be very disappointing if he turns out to be a character you and me can predict. He might turn out to be of help, or might turn out to be the antagonists aid. I believe if they do flesh him out and he has a proper motive and backstory he will provide a twist neither of us expected. But then again its just wishful thinking as you should know how some authors like making their storys shittier and more predictable/bland as it goes on. Heres to wishful thinking tho

With how this story has been going so far, the manga simply begs the question as to how this new chick is gonna suffer

@HallowedDeep Yeah for me I reckon the detective is the sort of "bad cop" roll, like he would kill someone if he knew they killed someone's family as a joke, the MC and him working together to kill his bullies would be a SICK but super wishful thinking here cause I mean I REALLY doubt the mangaka would make such a character if we're being honest, cause since the MC is already pretty capable of killing peeps I feel like the the mangaka themselves wouldn't want to give him more help, but I'm just hoping it's an actual interesting character and not the generic asshole that makes our blood boil as readers.

Ch. 26 seems predictable lmao hahahaha. Well no reaction then, than to accept what it is what it is.

Even if the mc slightly have a chance to save the twin sister I'll fucking gladly take it.

After this manga ends I would want an acid in my brain to melt this traumatic manga.

So far as chapter 26 it is not bad. It is not great for sure and barely scatch the surface of being good right now. It has some good idea but the execution is pretty meh. It still pretty early tho so only time would tell if this would reach "my home hero" greatness or "until your bone rot" level of good or it will just be another promising manga cut short by clishe, bad character and bad writing.

@RichterCooker Maybe if you are under 16 years old and your brain is still developing. However as an adult NO it should not, it is like playing video games where you kill, or watching zombie movies...you are old enough to know the difference between what is right and wrong regardless of what you read, see or play.

That aside this is a really good revenge manga, it is brutal so if you can't handle seeing blood and some torture then don't read it. Psychological and thriller is a tag you should stay away from

You know, I honestly saw potential in the kid who was pushed in front of a car, how he could have actually repented and realized the person he looked up to sees him as nothing. Hell, he could have just been a good kid who was in the wrong crowd and realized that. He even had a love interest, despite the crude form of love he holds. Gotta show off how much of a degenerate he is after all. Can't have decent characters because mc needs new dummies to test his torture devices on. Which makes me wonder why the whole probing for repentance thing was even mentioned when it was only done once and no other time.

Where does he even get these devices he use to torture people? the literal torture cult the main antagonist runs doesn't even use medieval torture machines. Does their home depot just have a bonus section? Does the local fisherman just bulksell boxer shrimps? His grandpa was a soldier, not a torture device collector last time i checked.

And I love how after hearing about a sex traffiker with I don't know how many guards gets taken down by one kid, the bullies were like "yeah, let's fight him one v one, that'll turn out well!". Instead of leaving the city or something. Now that I think about it if one of them just left the city over the four years MC's revenge plot would be like, 9x harder. Watch him still have a medieval torture device and lug it all the way to Hokaido or something lol. The only reason he's even able to find the torture cult is because they're so famous.

And a torture cult can totally have a spotless track record for four years and keep growing when their members disappear regularly and they execute their own members in front of civilian members. no deserters or people who call the police here they all die too even though there's probably witness protection that can happen, or fleeing the city. Speaking of, the police and witnesses here feel especially stupid. Yeah, nobody report to the teacher or police and have the kid who rapes people in the changing rooms arrested. Anonymous tips are not a thing. Yeah, let's go check out the hide out of a suspected killer with no weapons or backup. Twice. Yeah, let's not monitor/surround the building that holds a suspected murderer giving him ample room to run away if he wasn't paralyzed in shock. Nobody just notices any of the cultists escaping i guess.

Oh, and one final note, the murder association the mc joins after jailtime. What if someone just, phones in an assassination on an innocent person and plants evidence. They just buy the victim's stories as is and it turns out to be true.

I finally cached up and I can see some things that make the manga kind of annoying.

I understand that the series is just revenge porn and that every time some one is tortured or r*ped is to hammer in that this are bad people, but it some times is too much.

One thing that I thought was going to be an intresting point was the promise of not killing if they changed. I really thought we would have some human moment were morality and reformation become conflicts. But everything is thrown out immediately by the first guy and after that everytime they showed one of the main 5 is them doing bad things. In my opinion it would have been more intresting if the kept you guessing while MC investigates them and maybe even show you the aftermath of their dead with their families distraught. Showing you that MC did not just killed a bad guy, but a human, but no, MC just kills monsters and a few cops on the way.

I also do not like the tone change whenever female characters are present. I am an advocate of having moments or whole chapters where the author lets you breath, but with the track record it only seems that the girl is going to die just so you keep hating the villians.

One last thing that kept annoying me is that the MC is either a genius assassin or an idiot with no eyes, ears and brain. A bunch of the colateral deaths are pretty much his fault, but he never seems to learn. Sine the adult arc just began and he now has support, I doubt it will happen again, but it made the teen part annoying.

Series had a very strong start with cool themes. Unfortunately, the plot throws any interesting characters and themes away and devolves into a series of torture scenes, only pandering to shock value. I don't mind gore, as long as there's substance to back it up. What's the point of setting up interesting character arcs if you're just going to bin them halfway through? Felt like I was reading two different manga with how suddenly the quality drops. -_-

Berserk is also a series filled with gore and centralized around revenge, and yet the gulf in quality between it and this work is so laughably large it's absurd. Talent truly is rare.

Reading this after seeing parts of it on TikTok and was intrigued by the revenge plot of the story. But after its strong start in the first 10 chapters, it feels like another crappy torture/rape manga where somehow the adults turn a blind eye to everything and the boys have free reign to do whatever the fuck they want with their female counterparts. If anyone wants to read mangas where "bad guys getting what they deserve" , read "Brutal: Confessions of a Homicide Investigator" instead. This is just an absolute mess that somehow avoided cancellation because it somehow blew up online for its shock value.
AND SOMEONE ENLIGHTEN ME PLS, HOW THE FUCK IS THIS TARGETTING THE SHONEN GENRE. WHAT IS THE AUTHOR TRYING TO CONVEY TO BOYS, THAT ALL THIS IN THE MANGA IS GOOD TO DO IRL??
