Pg 30 is a tad weird, "your wife's death" should be "my wife's death" because that's Matiko talking about his own wife not other people's wife.

Motherfucker is there living a life of luxury like he doesn’t have enough capital to forcibly prop up the local economy if he wasn’t a greedy little shit. He didn’t even throw in the luxury car as a bonus to his offer.

did you forget the dungeon boss on previous chapters? that thing can only be killed by our S rank MC. if another breakout happened and this overpowered boss came out the whole town is finished and possibly few other town nearby. his plan on growing the golden goose is doomed from the start when the goose actually death in disguise.
It’s not even disguised everyone knows this is the end result and their entire society is based off of the fact that an entire advanced precursor civilization was wiped off the map by dungeons going out of control.

This is sort of the fantasy equivalent of conspiring to not improve the construction code to reduce hurricane damage because businesses boom when they get contracted to fix things.
They found a way to prevent a natural disaster and they’re getting flak because it hurts a specific part of the economy.

...yeah no. From a point of view he do has a point but it's obvious he's completely warped by now. This is not even remotely a solution and the idea doesn't come from a healthy place either.

If they accept the deal, I'll drop it not gonna lie 😐

Dude acts like the death of his wife was the only tragic thing, when he literally caused the death of dozens intentionally

The town was dead either way, if they sell him the potion rights it's just really dumb writing.

That's… Straight up pathetic. His whole backstory is that he's a cretin who's determined to keep repeating his personal tragedy out of spite. Just fucking kill yourself at this point, don't bring others down with you.

So it’s never been about the city or the business. His personal vendetta is against the dungeon itself. To him, allowing the city to prosper against the dungeon is his form of revenge. And with the dungeon sealed, he no longer has the outlet for his grief.

So let me get this straight. You lived in a small town that you planned to expand with commerce, but it got destroyed by a dungeon that manifested. So rather than leaving, you decided to rebuild the town around the dungeon for the sake of aiding adventurers to challenge and seal it. When your wife died from another outbreak, you doubled down by strengthening and fortifying the city to not let the towns efforts be wasted.

The adventurers did their job and the dungeon is now sealed. Your goal is now achieved, your welcome.

You centralized the town around the dungeon, but the structures and ppl are still there. The bakers will still make bread, the cobblers shoes, ect. Life will go on. If you are worried about the economy of the city then find something else to specialize in. Tourism, education, farming, research and development, ect. With change comes adaption. those that refuse or can't, will die. That is an iron clad rule of business. As the guild leader he should be spearheading the next ventures of the city.

Even if we bought his story about it being for the sake of the city. $%#@ his pittance of an offer! Like you can't afford to pay what it is worth or sign a royalty contract rather than a one off settlement. The nerve he has to say that blood will be on their hands if they refuse. He's gaslighting cus he knows they care about ppl.

This doesn’t make much sense.

Seems to me like humans have full control over the dungeon now, if you kill the boss regularly, then there would be zero problems? Our MC was able to solo kill a 30year grown boss, so how easy would a new boss be?

Just keep the town a bit away from the dungeon entrance with defenses and all is good? I don’t really see the problem.
The biggest issue was the uncontrolled growth and being way too close to the dungeon for surprise outbreaks, without buffer zones, but that can be handled easily by good management and regular purges.

You know the thing that hunters do for our forests?

Weird that nobody here in the comments talked about it and instead just cried over the merchant talking BS.

Tl;dr nothing that the author wrote, convinced me that with the fizzy potions this dungeon was any problem after downing the overgrown boss. If people used their brain there is no reason to seal it at the moment, expect for emotional reasons. :questionblob:

P.S. in many other Novels/Mangas dungeon management and things like regular purges and co. are mentioned.

Was this just written to add drama and give the twins the stage to come up with a new idea? They did talk/think about monsters reproducing naturally after all.
