I've played enough MMOs to know that the tank and healer are more important than the DPS in terms of party survival. DPS's job is to kill stuff. Tank's job is to keep the DPS from getting hit and insta-killed.

I also know that most of the time the moment the tank falls, the rest of the party follows suit.

What is with japan and slaves in manga nowadays? I swear we are oversaturated in slaves manga these days. Just my two cents.

Remember, until the European nations and the Americas stopped it, slavery was a world wide thing until about 200ish years ago. If this takes place in a world like that, it'd only be natural that slavery would be there; same with other manga. The fact you seemingly have the closet thing to an actual real world Paladin (aka a christian) saving/freeing slave is pretty accurate.
