While I do wish this wasn't a monthly, it can be a lot worse...

Thank you for the translation!

And thanks for the TL, i hope you get much better my man.

How is it possible that the strongest assassin was found out by random people not once, but TWICE, while he was undercover!!

He's a sniper type assassin, not the sneak up close and slit your throat type.

If I have to guess, based on how he noticed the ambushers earlier in the chapter, his strength in detection is with sight.

He can detect with other means if he pay attention, but both times here he was focused on something else.

It's a must for a sniper to be good at undercover though.

Being stealthy and detecting others aren't the same though. They can be related but still not the same.
For example becoming invisible is part of being stealthy, but it's got nothing to do with detecting others.

And as I said, his focus was on something else both times +
With Elysia, he chose an inconspicuous spot but she predicted he would go to such spot.
With the knights, they're on patrol so they were checking for such locations anyway.

and that is another plot hole. An assassin needs to be aware of his surroundings and stealthy. There is no way he would have been able to kill the demon lord if he can't be stealth and be aware of his surroundings. If just focusing on something leaves him so open then he just isn't as good as the author made him be.
