Probably? I don't watch/play FATE.So Claire is actually a Master of Chaldea and Aurora is her servant, an grand caster

I recall reading that someone else had done a similar analysis of Cid. And, yes, I completely agree with youMy personal interpretation is that Cid's mental illness is part of his very soul. It allows him to hyper focus on only the things that interest him and nothing else. Basically Cid is 100% a genius, if you manage to get him to focus on 1 thing, that 1 thing is going to get done in the absolute best way possible. Looking at Cid's accomplishments, anytime he is focused on something, he consistently outperforms everyone by a gigantic margin. Cid invented the slime suit, which to this date is still one of Shadow Garden's strongest tools, because he wanted a mysterious and cool weapon that can use all of his power. He cured possession because he wanted the mutated Alpha's immense magical powers and experimented on her and himself to do it. He is a world class pianist, because having moonlight sonata in the background of his eminence activities is cool. He is pretty much the world's best swordsman because he wanted to be the "strongest". Looking things like that, any time we see Cid actually focus on something, he consistently the best there is. Which brings us back to the original point, Cid is mentally ill. He doesn't function like a normal person, things that don't interest him are just non-existent in his mind. He's ignorant even when evidence is dumped in front of him because he doesn't care.
He's perfect. He doesn't need character growth.Yeah, but no character growth for 50 chapter is a little bit much.
It's not like he need to become ultra smart or anything, just any kind of character growth. Cose as of now it's realy running in circle.
One Punch Man is also a series based on this kind of "make fun of the genre" but you still see Saitama grow little by little.
Author actualy made him smart, he is supposedly smart enouth to full mark all exam. He is actualy so smart that he actualy can decided by himself to be the most avearge joe and no one ever find out.
That's why it make no sense for a dude like that to literaly never have any grow and still act as if he killed people just because he is a chuny...
This is a power fantasy... The MC solo god like being and is ultra smart, exept for when it come to his delusion.
He's literally insane. That how the story should be, but when he is capable of doing all his magic that literaly no one else can, and when he straight out kill people this setting crumble.
The dude killed dozen of people at the start of the story with the school attack arc, and he literaly act as if this never happened. That's not being dumb, the dude literaly ignore things that happen before him.
Then he use magic that literaly no one else can, even people who spend their life studying magic.
If author wanted to make him totaly dumb and lucky it make no sense for him to be this skilled in literaly everythings.
He's a world class pianist only on "Moonlight Sonata"😂My personal interpretation is that Cid's mental illness is part of his very soul. It allows him to hyper focus on only the things that interest him and nothing else. This is not.. spoiler. It's a clue from first chapterShe is one of the possessed. Like her sister and princess alexia
well yeah, that's because he is literally me. autistic.I cant help but think that the story and the comedy would be a lot better and more fun if MC were to stop being full retard. Author could at least make him just smart enouth to understand that things are realy happening, because as of now he is the most retarded character i ever saw.
The dude is supposed to be extremely smart but is not capable of understanding that his minion are actualy doing things and fighting for real, after he kill dozen of their member... Fighting in such organisation is supposed to be his "dream".
Well, it's a great way to make the story last longer.
So... you are the protagonist. Because so is he.I'm SO lost on the plot
He "knows" everything.About what Zeta is doing, does Shadow-sama "knows" ?
So, Cid is neurodivergent, definitelly ADHD, and very likely a kind of autism that allows him to be good socially if he ever wants to be. And his Fixations are on the way of him understanding anything else, even things that may be helpful to his actual goals. My personal interpretation is that Cid's mental illness is part of his very soul. It allows him to hyper focus on only the things that interest him and nothing else. Basically Cid is 100% a genius, if you manage to get him to focus on 1 thing, that 1 thing is going to get done in the absolute best way possible. Boy, Marie Curie was a genius... That's my entire fucking point. He's literally insane.
Also in his dictionary, killing bandits = alright. Those people he killed are classified as bandits in his eyes.
It made no sense for him to be skilled in the shit he spent his entire life on, to train and learn?? What do you think humans are?
To you, it makes 0 sense that people invented anything even when they spent their entire fucking life to research for it?
-it makes 0 sense that Marue Curie found polonium and radium.
-it makes 0 sense for Edison to find the right material for light bulb.
It all doesn't make any sense.
In the end, don't stress yourself out if you do not enjoy this series
We have many different viewpoints on a small detail, I guess the author is to fault for giving the reader too much room for interpretation haha.I dont realy stress myself nor take the story seriously, but it's crazy seeing some people here who goes on about "we love mc being a retard"
and he next phrase is "but MC is a genius so it's logical he can do it"
Then they go "lol how do you not understand that the entire point is that mc is retard so it's logical that he cant hunderstand anything that's heppening"
The issue i have with this is that quite a number of author with realy great idea end up pushing their story in a bad direction, just because they follow the people who ask "plz keep doing the exact same things for 100 chapter without trying to make anything better"
I mean, did you ever see anyone seriously say that not having any character grow was a good thing?
being smart is relative. With your logic, Einstein is pretty retarded too because he couldn't remember his number? Right? Any normal human being can remember your own phone number, that means Einstein is dumber than most humanity?Boy, Marie Curie was a genius... That's my entire fucking point.
You all go "but mc is a frigging retard and is not smart enouth to understand anything" and then you compare him to two of the biggest genius humanity ever had...
Have some frigging logic!
If he was stupid then he would have never done anything even if he spend his live on it... That's what being stupid mean.
I think author intended to do exactly the opposite. IMO, Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute was made to make fun out of isekai tropes and readers. I still remember how people were pissed at Ainz from Overlord, for not bein able to comprehend inhuman intelligence of his subordinates and managing though pure luck only. Or how Rumuru from Reincarnated as Slime just have a voice in his head to explain things to him. And here, author made MC really stupid and lucky (if it's not his actual ability as mentioned by other people) and people still go "dun, wish he isn't retarded". Everything falls apart if he stop being stupid. It;s like Forrest Gump, but isekai.
I disagree entirely. This manga reads to me as a satire of the genre itself, and the Cid just plays the role of the "reader".Yeah, but no character growth for 50 chapter is a little bit much.

I didn't want to link him because i was lazy, but i was reffering to this person and some other. We have many different viewpoints on a small detail, I guess the author is to fault for giving the reader too much room for interpretation haha.
Anyway, while I haven't seen anyone say that a character's lack of development is a good thing, I have seen many people complain that a character's development makes them unrealistic, less likable, ect. And I don't think character development is enough to make you like a character you already despise.
P/S: If the manga ever reaches 100 chapters, you might be able to see Cid's character development haha.
He's perfect. He doesn't need character growth.
There is nothings relative with intelligence... You are intelligent or you are not. That's not quatum physic.being smart is relative. With your logic, Einstein is pretty retarded too because he couldn't remember his number? Right? Any normal human being can remember your own phone number, that means Einstein is dumber than most humanity?
Human has limited span of attention. So is Cid. He doesn't give a fuck about anything but larping. He spent most of his life larping. 99% of his brain power is used to improve his larping and gaining more power. He's more than competent to understand anything that he gives some fuck about, that is about magic power and martial arts.
