I bet the whole cloudy thing is going to be that up to this point the MC's phobia and fear are part of the reasons he could see through shadows so well. Since tsukuyomi has been there she's made him happy and he hasn't needed to be so aware of his surroundings. So it'll go into some arc or at least some rant about showing him pain and despair to make him stronger.
Also, nerffed op characters (gods that need to relearn how to use their power, heroes that loose their memories) are really boring. Some background stories make up for it, so I hope this manga gets to it soon.
