I got way too stunlocked by the final design being the baby caterpillar bankai from bleach. Made me realize the power system and narrative structure of these fights do remind me a lot of bleach (but everyone is always using and or at their highest power level), cept instead of some hollows having human tragic backstories all of them have one.
