Here in the manga there a masive difference with the original Web Novel(the Light Novel is untrasnalted thus can't compare) but the difference is Kearu/Cure Only was guide by his internal hate to get the eyes and when got it there he fully got his memories, maybe the mangaka thought was redudant but still a difference.

@Nivek the order of things being web novel becomes a light novel, light novel gets adapted into an anime or a manga (or both) and all, even without having read it either myself I'd tend to assume a change like that was done in the web novel to light novel stage since that's like going from the prototype to the official product, but it just as easily could have been changed in the manga only. People like to say how a lot of the manga and anime aren't faithful enough to the novels, but honestly a lot of the web vs light novel versions for these things are wildly different too in strange to huge ways.
