A detail I like is that he gives Setsuna a choice in whether or not to continue in having intercourse and respects her decision not to immediately give her true name away. He's NOT like the Princess and he's NOT like the other adventurers. He's not going to force her to go through the same experiences he did, and he's not going to make her into the same thing he was. It's an interesting development in his character because he views her as a bystander that shares a common objective with him: burn the empire and its corruption to the ground.
