Does it matter, though? We're literally reading a story about a guy who was raped so hard he flew back in time to rape and kill everyone who fucked him, to the point he even turned himself into a girl using healing magic.

'Killing intent' is the least of the absurdities in this story and I find it odd anyone would single that out.

@Kayriel so you admit that “killing intent” is an absurdity. Since that’s the case then our argument remains valid.

The reason time travel is alright is because it’s plot related. There wouldn’t be a story without it. The healing to change appearance is weird but it moves the story forward so we can at least give the unique ability a chance and see where it’s going. Killing intent does nothing to the story. It’s just a lazy way to show a character’s strength without having the character actually do anything. It’s a cliche that’s overstayed it’s welcome imo.

@Flavor25 If anything, healing being able to change appearance doesn't seem that far of a reach to me.

Healing to change people's memories/personalities on the other hand strikes me as just as absurd as things like killing intent, though. More so, even.

Anyways, killing intent auras or w/e are always stupid as shit, but I don't think it has anything to do with 'character's strength', detecting it seems like something mediocre at best people can do, the fact this particular dude noticed him from a distance was indicative of him being able to notice anything well, not his ability to notice killing intent specifically.

The classic killing intent, something that can inexplicably exude or sense someone’s intent. Lol. Like wtf. This aint sensing one’s power level, just a writer’s lack of originality and ability to story tell.

Also those knights kinda look influenced by Imperius from diablo 3.

It's interesting to see the changes between the WN and LN (which I suppose the manga adapts the last one)
In the WN, Kearg just kills him almost instantly with his new gauntlet obtained from that hero weapon gem or whatever, they never talk beforehand like this lol
Edit: I prefer "Kearg" instead of "Keyaruga" or "Keyarga"... Romanization bruh moment

And at this pace we'll never manage to see our fox girl Guren AAAAAAAAAHHHH... She didn't appear in the anime voice cast so... Fuck

@Fari That heal Magic can influence the Mind in a way is actually a old hat, even in old Dungeons and Dragons the "Heal" spell was able to even heal mental illnesses ... somehow. It seems in this Manga "Healing" means manipulating the Body and mind to heal it and he misuses it by forcing it to do other things which is .... quite weird I agree. Then again this Manga falls in the revenge porn category and I don't read those for "Making sense" so I'm fine with it.

@theShear Yeah I mean that's fair, like, mental illnesses are generally physical, and by extension I suppose your whole personality must be so I vaguely get how it can work out, just like, it's up there in the absurdity.

But yeah, agreed, this is a series where I turn my brain off until someone else in the comments wants to make a thing out of it like that other person did.

I mean, from what I remember, Kearu is able to modify someone's body (be it good or bad) because he basically experiences the person's life up to that point, feeling everything they have felt in a few moments. I think that was what drove him insane and thus making the Hero party doping him up on drugs.

Therefore the fact he is able to access and modify memories doesn't seem so far fetched, with how his healing works.
